  A tranquil haven with an amazing lunch followed by a Japanese pearl farmer/chef display of pearling skills now almost gone. Set about 20 minutes from the main TI Harbour we were met by three young Japanese women and the older Japanese Pearl owner farmer. The restaurant is set on a verandah surrounded by a colourful garden and birdlife. Out the front is a perfect view of the turquoise waters of the Thursday Islands. It was part of a package lunchtime tour; I suspect quite expensive. Only gripe we were not allowed to walk even a short distant on the lovely beach. A highlight of our Cape tour.

  Gets a bad rap from Thursday Island but all the better in my opinion. Thursday boasts solid commerce but Friday has got the weekend, oooh yeaaaahhh. Can't beat that. Even the spider monkeys that reside here get down and dirty 3 days a week. Unlike Wednesday Island they let you come on the island any day of the week because here....it's aaaaalways Friday #TGIF mate
